You read that right, mesdames et messieurs!  I spent the afternoon at Le Centre Pompidou in Paris, one of my all-time favorite art museums, looking at Arte Povera and the mindblowing view of Paris from the roof deck.  The day was so beautiful and sunny,  and I wandered through Le Marais drinking coffee and eating pastries.  I have become determine to brush up my French, and so bought myself a copy of Le Fantome de Brillat-Savarin, a translation of M.F.K. Fisher's book about French food that I found for 2 euro.  The plan is to carefully read it over and brush up my skills!

Le Tour Eiffel!  Never stops being exciting...

storm clouds rolling in over the city... right before an EPIC storm that ended in sunshowers -- thunderstorms while the sun started to shine!

So excited for an afternoon in Saint-Germain-des-Pres tomorrow!

  1. Wow, how lovely - lucky you! I'm forever determined to brush up on my French too, but I never seem to get round to it. Perhaps a trip involving coffee and pastries would encourage me!
